Raising Awareness for Dogs with Diabetes
Help us with the costs of maintaining dogs with Cushing’s Disease and Diabetes. The average costs per month for one dog is $500.00 with monthly blood tests ($250 – 300); Medications ($120.00 for Cushing’s and $79 – 100 for Diabetes); special food.
Help us support local veterinarians who could use donations to help customers who can’t afford to pay for these expenses. All proceeds go to local vets earmarked for Diabetic dogs.
Please visit Farmhouse Fireside Coffee where your purchase proceeds go to the local veterinarians. If you have a veterinarian of choice to be supported, let us know!
Below is Mr. Cornelius, who has Cushing’s which caused Diabetes. He was a very sick puppy. He is doing better now. On a strict diet; medications and is back to his old bouncy self. We are thankful that we could afford the treatment. Another family wasn’t as lucky. They opted to put down their puppy with the same diagnosis because they could not afford treatment. These diseases restrict the life of the dog to 2 years once diagnosed. Help us get them treatments so they can live longer. These diseases pop up at age 8. The rest of the gang is Yoshi and Nacho. All brothers from the same liter.
